We install Wet Chemical Kitchen Fire Suppression systems, an automatic system designed to protect appliances and extraction systems in commercial kitchens.
Commercial kitchens contain all the elements necessary for a fire. When a fire occurs in a kitchen it can do so without the presence of people and can quickly spread to all areas of the kitchen including the extract ducting and if not controlled will spread into other parts of the building. Even fires that start with trained staff present can prove difficult or impossible to control by means of portable hand held extinguishers putting the safety of staff at risk.
An automatic system will detect the fire at an early stage and will operate whether staff are present or not, suppressing the fire and thereby minimising damage to the kitchen and ensuring the safety of all staff.
The system is LPCB and UL Approved and is capable of automatic detection and actuation and/or remote manual actuation. The detection portion of the fire suppression system allows for automatic detection by means of specific alloy rated fusible links, which, when the temperature exceeds the rating of the link, the link separates, allowing the release mechanism to activate the wet chemical container. The wet chemical is discharged through pipe work and nozzles onto the protected equipment.
Additional optional equipment includes remote manual pull station, mechanical and electrical gas valves, pressure switches, fire alarm links, visual and audible alarms and electrical switches for automatic equipment and gas line shut-off.
